Dr. Lattimer was the Dean of the Lurie College of Education at SJSU from 2018-2025.  During her tenure at SJSU, the Lurie College of Education significantly grew student enrollments, increased the diversity of our students and faculty, built deep community partnerships with local school districts, community colleges, and community organizations, and secured more than $20M in grants and philanthropic donations to support our strategic priorities. Dr. Lattimer became the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Cal State LA in 2025.

Prior to coming to SJSU, Dr. Lattimer was a faculty member at the University of San Diego and Executive Director of the Jacobs Institute for Innovation in Education.  Dr. Lattimer holds earned degrees from Harvard, Stanford, and UCSD.  She began her career as a K12 teacher in San José Unified.
