Bay Area K-16 Collaborative Retreat

In July 2022, the Bay Area K-16 Collaborative came together to celebrate and build upon six months of collaborative work. With a strong turnout of over 35 leaders representing employers, unified school districts, and institutions of higher education from across the Bay Region, the spirit of collaboration and collegiality was palpable.

The retreat provided the opportunity for partners to: meet one another in-person; reflect on previous accomplishments and experiences setting the foundation for this important work; and provide invaluable input shaping the collaborative’s unifying framework, shared commitments, governance structure, and roles and responsibilities. Together, the group further developed small workgroups to effectively continue topic-specific work, with updates to be shared during the collaborative’s 1st and 3rd Tuesday monthly meetings.
