On November 9, 2022, the Foundation for California Community Colleges announced the Bay Area K-16 Collaborative has been funded a $250,000 Planning Grant through the Regional K-16 Collaboratives Grant Program.

On October 25, 2022, the Bay Area K-16 Collaborative hosted a convening for K-12 leaders from the nine-county Bay Area Region. The session included an introduction to the collaborative, greetings from the subregional leaders, discussions about current and desired supports for transitions across the eduction continuum, and a presentation on the Cradle-to-Career data system.

In July 2022, the Bay Area K-16 Collaborative came together to celebrate and build upon six months of collaborative work.
